Day 1: ARRIVE SALT LAKE CITY
Today our winter adventure begins as the group arrives in Salt Lake City for a city tour. This evening we are invited to a get-acquainted dinner.
Day 2: MORMON TABERNACLE CHOIR/WEST YELLOWSTONE
A once in a lifetime opportunity awaits us this morning! Special seating has been arranged for us at Temple Square, where we will have a chance to hear the world famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir's weekly broadcast performance. Then we'll depart the Wasatch Mountains and drive north past the Great Salt Lake; soon we will enter Idaho and travel through the potato-producing fields of the Gem State with a stop in Pocatello. Next we enter the Island Park Region. After going over Targhee Pass we will enter Montana and the town of West Yellowstone, the western gate of our nation's first national park.
DAY 3: YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
This is our day to discover Yellowstone National Park, America's oldest and most famous national park, via private chartered snowcoaches. With our luxury-heated snowcoaches, we'll have a clear view while moving easily across the snow while listening to the insights of an experienced Yellowstone guide. Tonight, join the group for dinner at the Snow Lodge.
DAY 4: YELLOWSTONE
Today is a free day to explore and enjoy the Upper Geyser Basin and Yellowstone National Park on your own. Overnight Old Faithful Snow Lodge.
DAY 5: YELLOWSTONE/GRAND TETON
Enjoy a leisurely morning at Old Faithful. Then depart via private chartered snowcoaches and travel south over the Continental Divide, through West Thumb, past Lewis Lake to the South Entrance. Arrive Flagg Ranch and board your motorcoach for a scenic drive through Grand Teton National Park. Overnight in Jackson Hole.
DAY 6: JACKSON HOLE - OPTIONS
Enjoy a beautiful winter day in Jackson at the base of the rugged Teton Mountains. This is a free day where you can choose from a variety of winter activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, dogsled rides and snowmobiling or just relax.
DAY 7: ELK REFUGE - OLYMPIC PARK
Just a couple miles north of Jackson is the National Elk Refuge, winter home for thousands of these majestic animals. This morning you'll get a close-up view on your sleigh ride through the Elk Refuge. As we leave Jackson this morning, we'll travel through the rugged Snake River Canyon, stopping in pastoral Starr Valley along the way. In the afternoon arrive at Utah Olympic Park near Park City for touring the amazing facility. Overnight back in Salt Lake City.
DAY 8: HOME
Transfers to the Salt Lake Airport for departure home. As we travel home, we'll remember all the wonderful memories and friends we have met on our fabulous Yellowstone in Winter vacation!
