DAY 1: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13
ARRIVE IN DENVER / COLORADO SPRINGS

Arrive in Denver, meet your guide at the airport and travel to Colorado Springs. Check into your hotel and enjoy a “get acquainted” dinner with the group. (D)

DAY 2: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14
PIKES PEAK COUNTRY

Sightsee today in Colorado Springs. Take the Pikes Peak Cog Railway 14,110 feet, to the top of Pikes Peak. Then, explore the magnificent sandstone rock formations of Garden of the Gods. This evening, enjoy a night of western hospitality and entertainment at Flying W Ranch. (B,L,D)

DAY 3: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15
ROYAL GORGE

Take the Royal Gorge Route Railroad into Royal Gorge, where the world’s highest suspension bridge towers 1,053 above the Arkansas River. Tour the Gorge and stop in the mining town of Salida for lunch before we continue to Alamosa. (B,L)

DAY 4 : TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16
CUMBRES & TOLTEC SCENIC RAILWAY

The 1880 Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railway transports you today through the forested slopes of the San Juan range. Passing through the dramatic rock formations of Toltec Gorge and cresting at 10,015-foot Cumbres Pass, you’ll drop down a precipitous 4% grade as you descend into the village of Chama, New Mexico. Take your motorcoach into Durango. (B,L)

DAY 5: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17
DURANGO-SILVERTON TRAIN

This morning, experience a delightful trip through the Colorado Rockies via the Durango-Siverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Stop for lunch and drive to Grand Junction, where you’ll see the fantastic monoliths of Colorado National Monument. (B,D)

DAY 6: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18
GEORGETOWN LOOP / DENVER

Explore the historic mining town of Georgetown. Then, take the 1920s steam-powered train on the Historic Georgetown Loop Railroad. Arrive in Denver and sightsee some historic landmarks like Larimer Square and the Colorado State Capitol Building. Tonight, join the group for a farewell dinner. (B,D)

JOURNEY HOME
